- Alison Bechdel's Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic
>BIG>Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic is available at pine street art works.
If you haven't read about Alison Bechdel's new book, Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic you will soon. Time Magazine listed it as one of 5 Memoirs That Are Worth Your Time (May 24, 2006), and the ciritcs are raving.
"If David Sedaris could draw, and if Bleak House had been a little funnier, you'd have Alison Bechdel's Fun Home" Amy Bloom, author of A Blind Man Can See How Much I Love You."
Alison will be exhibiting her work at pine street art works for two months, starting in September during Art Hop Weekend, September 7th.

- Chair by John B. Marius
There are always surprises for me on pine street. This week I found John B. Marius's studio, a few blocks away from pine street art works. I am pleased to announce that pine street art works is now carrying his indoor/outdoor rocking chair, made of iron and sepele wood. $600.00

- Maira Kalman mannequins. Photo by Liza Cowan.
These guys are not for sale, but they are a treat to look at. They are mannequins made by Ralph Pucci, from the Maira Kalman line. Kalman wrote and illustrated Sayonara Mrs. Kalman, Max Makes A Million, What Pete Ate A-Z to name a few. She's done New Yorker covers and she illustrated the new edition of The Elements Of Style. Major fan, me.
